Many brides-to-be undergo cosmetic treatments before their weddings. Some limit their beauty treatments to a new professional hairstyle, manicure, spray tan, or teeth whitening.
Other women choose to undergo plastic surgery procedures before their weddings in order to look their best. A new E! reality show is scheduled to hit the air that highlights many engaged women’s desire to undergo breast augmentation, liposuction, and other cosmetic surgery procedures.
The new show, aptly titled Bridalplasty, features women who have recently become engaged and have wish lists of plastic surgery procedures they would like to undergo. The brides-to-be compete against one another in various wedding-themed challenges. The winner of each episode gets to undergo one plastic surgery procedure of her choice, and is not allowed to reveal the results of the procedure until it is time to walk down the aisle.
All brides want to look their best on their wedding day. If you are interested in undergoing cosmetic surgery before your wedding, contact the practice of Dallas plastic surgeon Mark Deuber.
About 115,000 patients underwent the tummy tuck plastic surgery procedure in 2009, according the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Many of these patients had their belly buttons altered is some way during the procedure.
Though not as popular or well known as other cosmetic surgery procedures, belly button plastic surgery allows surgeons to change the appearance of the belly button in several different ways:
- Innie vs. outtie: A plastic surgeon can turn an outtie belly button into an innie, and vice versa.
- Shape and size: You may be unhappy with the size and shape of the belly button that you were born with, or your belly button may have changed due to weight gain, pregnancy, age, or other factors. A plastic surgeon can adjust the size and shape of your belly button during surgery so you feel more confident in your appearance.
Belly button plastic surgery can be performed in conjunction with the tummy tuck procedure or abdominal liposuction, or as a standalone procedure.
The end of winter and beginning of spring signal the time of year that many people decide it is time to get in shape for summer by regularly hitting the gym and eating a healthier diet.
While it is important that everyone follow a good diet and exercise routine to maintain overall health and prevent future medical problems, there are some cosmetic flaws that diet and exercise cannot fix. These patients may choose to undergo cosmetic surgery in the months before summer to get their bodies bikini-ready.
Breast Augmentation
One of the most popular procedures plastic surgeons perform on patients is breast augmentation. Many women are not genetically blessed with naturally full breasts that fill out their bikini tops, bras, and other clothes. Breast implants come in various volumes so women can select the size that will suit their body types and aesthetic goals.
Tummy Tuck
Women who have been pregnant and lost a significant amount of weight may have accumulated excess skin in the abdominal area. This extra skin can be removed and the remaining skin tightened. The tummy tuck produces a more contoured stomach and gives women the confidence to wear a bathing suit.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has released its annual report on the number of plastic surgery procedures performed in the United States in 2009.
Not surprisingly, the number of plastic surgery procedures performed last year has decreased. Still, the widespread popularity of cosmetic surgery and non-invasive aesthetic procedures is evident as millions of patients did undergo treatment despite the poor economy.

Men and women who have lost a significant amount of weight should be proud that they were able to shed the extra pounds and improve their health. However, the after effects of massive weight loss can impact the individual’s sense of satisfaction when excess skin has accumulated in specific areas of the body. These men and women may be interested in plastic surgery procedures that address sagging skin.
Tummy Tuck
Many patients that undergo the tummy tuck procedure experienced significant stretching of the skin during pregnancy. However, those who have gained and lost a lot of weight may also be appropriate candidates for abdominoplasty, During the procedure, an incision is made across the abdomen, then the cosmetic surgeon skin and underlying muscles are tightened.
Arm Lift
The arm lift procedure removes lax skin along the arm to create more taut contour.
Thigh Lift
Extra skin on the thighs can cause significant embarrassment and discomfort to patients. Dr. Deuber can target problem areas on the thighs to remove excess skin and improve appearance.
Body Lift
Patients who have lost a significant amount of weight after bariatric surgery or diet and exercise may need a combination of lifting procedures performed. These men and women may be appropriate candidates for the body lift procedure.
