Breast Lift Surgery in Dallas, Texas – Restore a Youthful, Sexy Look

Often used in conjunction with breast augmentation or breast reduction, a breast lift, or mastopexy, can significantly improve the appearance of your breasts. Breast shape can change drastically over the course of time and through the aging process, especially after pregnancy, nursing, and significant weight loss or gain. As the breasts begin to lose their natural elasticity, they may begin to sag or droop. Breast lift surgery performed at our Dallas, Texas facility, with implants or with your own tissue only, can restore your youthful bust line by eliminating excess drooping skin and tissue, elevating the position of the breasts, and carefully reshaping the remaining breast tissue.

The Breast Lift Procedure

The breast lift procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia for patient safety. During breast lift surgery at our Dallas, Texas practice, Dr. Mark A. Deuber trims away excess skin and tissue as he lifts and tightens the bust line. An anchor-shaped incision is made on the lower half of the breasts. Once the excess tissue has been trimmed away, the remaining breast tissue is brought together for a firmer, tighter contour. The nipples are repositioned at a higher point on the chest for a naturally youthful look. The incisions are closed with strong, absorbable sutures, and the patient will be given a surgical bra to wear for support and comfort as the lifted breasts heal.

Breast Lift with Implants

If a patient is having implants placed as a part of her breast lift procedure, Dr. Deuber will create a pocket for each implant beneath the chest muscle. Combining breast lift surgery with breast augmentation produces excellent results for women seeking to add fullness and lift to their breasts. Reduced Recovery Time after Breast Lift

After surgery, the patient may be discharged home or may spend the night in the surgical facility. Dr. Deuber provides each breast lift surgery patient with pain medication and antibiotics for the most comfortable recovery possible. Swelling and bruising are common after surgery, but in time, these side effects will subside. Patients may shower the second day after surgery using regular soap and water.

Initially, the upper portions of the breasts may appear excessively full and the lower portions excessively tight and stiff. Over the course of six weeks to three months, the breasts will soften, settle, and assume a natural, pleasing shape.  During this time, patients often experience changes in breast size and shape. Dr. Deuber asks that patients call him within seven days after the breast lift surgery for an appointment at his Dallas, Texas office so that he can follow up on patient progress, health, and results. It is important to him that each patient receive the result that she is looking for.
